The K-Book is the basic building block of the Knowledge-Forge elearning suite. 
It is an interactive, multi-media, electronic book focused on a particular body of knowledge.  All K-Books share the same familiar book-style interface which means you and your users already know how to access its contents which consists of electronic text, pictures, diagrams, animation, sound, video and test questions. 

Using the latest online technology, the K-Book can easily link to original source documents such as processes, procedures, technical data, spreadsheets, manuals and competitive information.   Additionally, web-links, product demos, videos, pictures and slide shows can be easily integrated to further explain and amplify even the most complex information.  

Three Styles of Courses
Pick & choose courses that are right for you.  You can mix & match any combination of standard, tailored and custom courses to provide a comprehensive library addressing all of your online learning

• Standard courses: in cooperation with training directors and quality managers from a variety of institutions we have developed a library of courses specifically designed to meet the training and compliance requirements of blood banks and healthcare institutions.  Unlike other generic courses, K-Book course content and tests have been reviewed and approved by numerous healthcare training specialists.
  
• Tailored courses: any of our Standard courses can be tailored to incorporate your institution's SOPs, photos, logos and other images as well as edits to content and test questions.  The result is a customized solution, based on proven content that can be delivered at a fraction of the cost and time of developing a custom course.
  
• Custom courses: if you need a course that isn't available from our library, we will work with you to develop at course that meets your needs at affordable rates.  If the topic has broad appeal, we may suggest our Co-Lab development approach in which we bring several institutions together to develop a new Standard course at a fraction of the Custom course cost.

Two Choices of Installation
Most of our courses are available in both Internet and Network versions.

• Internet Version courses are installed and "hosted" on our web-servers for a modest annual fee.  Our servers are located in state-of-the-art data centers offering unmatched reliability and require no maintenance on your part.  Courses are accessed from any internet connection at any time.  This approach is ideal for small and medium sized companies that want to limit their initial investment or don't have a large IT department.   There is no faster or easier way to get started with online learning.
  
• Network Version courses are purchased and installed on your company's network server.  Courses are accessed via your company's Local Area Network (LAN).  This solution offers the highest possible performance, can be installed per your IT department requirements and requires no external internet access.  This solution is best suited for larger organizations or companies with an IT department.

Institutional and Personal Use Options
All of our courses are available in both Institutional and Personal use versions.

• Personal Use courses are complete, full-feature K-Books intended for individuals or small organizations where tracking & course management are not a primary concern.  Personal use K-Books do not include the Knowledge Tracking System and are available in Internet version only. 
  
• Institutional Use courses provide the same K-Book content and features as personal use courses and add the integrated Knowledge Tracking System (see below).  Through this integration institutional courses provide a wide range of tracking, reporting and management options allowing organizations to take control of training and compliance issues.  Managers can assign courses, track employee progress and generate compliance and exception reports to better manage education and risk.  Institutional use courses are available in both Internet and Network versions and require a minimum purchase of 10 licenses.
